I had a look around the forum and didn’t see a topic around this. Hopefully I didn’t overlook it.
Last night I updated to the latest OS 1.12B and now my CV pitch control does not work. I have no control at all over pitch, and the onboard buttons/keyboard does not change pitch either. I’m using the standard A4 no keys. I’m also sending CV to a Grayscale Synapse module.
This was all working just fine before I upgraded, as soon as I loaded the new OS and tried to have a go, no more control.
I’ve tried switching between v/oct and v/hz as well but not luck.
I’ve emailed Elektron support too but wondering if anyone else is having this issue? I was so ready to modulate away this weekend.
I might downgrade back to the previous OS, however, I can’t seem to find my download of that one.
I’m not sure how to delete this post but I’ve got it working. I downgraded back 1.11, then reloaded 1.12B and now it’s working fine. Not sure what that was about but doesn’t matter, I’m happy.
You have to set up your CV calibration after the OS upgrade. There are more options in the new OS and for some reason they chose settings that give the CV outputs a 0v range by default, and thus appear to be “broken” if you don’t adjust them. Maybe they are not the defaults but this happened to me after I upgraded.
For basic starting point (for V/Oct), set the following parameters in the CV setup menu:
Type - V/Oct
Note1 - C0
Voltage 1 - 0.000v
Note 2 - C2
Voltage - 2.000v
This should set up a linear scale and the CV outs should give you 1v per octave. You may need to tweak the settings per your synth to account for scaling errors.
