Tracks playing offbeat when switching pattern/part

Hello! I have a gig in a few days and this is stressing me out so hopefully you can help me out.

When I’m pressing play while in a pattern+part everything sounds as it should. But when I’m switching to another pattern+part while the music is playing, the first 4 bars (64 steps) of the new pattern+part sounds off (like the start position of the samples are twisted). It correct itselfs after the first 4 bars though, and goes back to how it should sound like. Anyone had any similar issue?

An old backup of the project works as it should so somewhere along the way this weird bug occured.

(To avoid confusion: I say pattern + part because each pattern has its own part linked to it. One pattern + part per song basically)

Probably not a bug but something you modified.
Depending on how trigs are played at the beginning, tracks can keep previous part settings. Are there samples from previous pattern+part playing ?

What is your reference to know what is twisted ?
How much ? All tracks ?
I’d check track by track to isolate which ones.
Then check trigs, Microtiming, start, slices, pitch, timestretch…

At worse can’t you copy/paste the old project’s pattern+part ?

Thanks for your reply! I decided to go back to my old backup and redo the progressions. (Do lots of backups folks!!)

In which cases can old parts still be playing?.

New part settings are applied only after a trig is played; per track behavior (not sure about trig conditions).

Maybe the Quantized Trig setting got changed in the AED, sometimes for some reason mine will switch to PAT LENGTH instead of DIRECT causing playback issues
